About Voces
Voces de la Frontera is a Wisconsin nonprofit that educates workers about their employment rights and organizes to protect and improve the quality of life for low-wage and immigrant workers. We promote grassroots leadership and community and workplace organizing as a strategy to achieve our goals. We operate workers' centers in Milwaukee and Racine.

Budget: Driver's cards out but in-state tuition inWI student campaign hails victory
The Wisconsin state budget, now signed into law by Governor Jim Doyle, will provide for in-state tuition for undocumented students. Thank you to all who rallied and phoned representatives in support. We have achieved a massive victory and an important one for many students.

Fact: Within ten years of arrival, more than three quarters of immigrants speak English well. Demand for English classes far exceeds supply. More than a third of immigrants are naturalized citizens.
